    Front sight .060 fiber

Posted by Carl on 22nd May 2024

Only reason I'm giving four stars is there's no replacement rod, which in itself isn't a huge problem. But, if someone were to snap the rod in the process of installing the sight, it sure would be nice to know what diameter rod they would need to order(.060in. 1.5mm). Other than that, I am quite pleased with the results of my first time installing a sight. Required some minor adjustments on a stone. Would recommend a brass punch if you're going to tap it in.

Tisas 1911 green fiber optic front sight.

I purchased this to replace the plain front iron sight on my Tisas D10. It fit perfectly in the dovetail with no filing or other adjustment needed. The height is perfect, and it works perfectly well.

    Green fiber optic

Switch out my Tisas 1911 DS front sight for this green fiber optic front sight and I'm very happy. This fiber optic picks up the surrounding light well and I didn't lose but gained accuracy.

    Fragile sight

Not sure there is a way better than a professional sight too but while installing this sight the hi vis sight cracked. I had to super glue the sight together and after a few hundred rounds at the range it held.

TISAS Walnut 1911 Grip set and Fiber Optic Sight

Posted by Unknown on 16th May 2024

first, the 1911 Walnut grip set - they were priced admirably and look good - however the checkering is almost "flat" and not as grippy as wood 1911 grip sets that cost more - I like the trad look of them but the original set grips better. for the Fiber optic sight - it is to replace the original white dot - which is too tall and causes me to shoot low - I contacted major sight makes and they all said their product doesn't quite fit the Tisas - excellent pistol - so, this week my gunsmith will put on the new sight and I will see - for my aged eyes, the sight does look nicely bright!
