The MAC 1911‑9 DS is Military Armament Corp’s entry into the budget double‑stack 1911 market, designed in the U.S. and manufactured by Tisas in Turkey. Built as a “2011‑style” pistol, it offers strong parts compatibility with STI/Staccato magazines and Series 70 components while keeping the price far below most competitors.

Out of the box, it includes an RMR‑cut slide, M1913 accessory rail, polymer grip module, 4.25‑inch bull barrel with target crown, aluminum magwell, fiber‑optic front sight, and two 17‑round Check‑Mate magazines. With an MSRP around $1,100, it undercuts most double‑stack 1911s by hundreds of dollars while still delivering modern features shooters expect.

Although this release announcement did not include live‑fire testing yet, MAC’s partnership with Tisas and the pistol’s specifications position the 1911‑9 DS as one of the most promising true “budget 2011” options currently available.
